Media Event and Media Logistics Training

Led by Mr. Kennedy, a former teaching assistant at the University of Iowa and an instructor at the Gore/Lieberman 2000
Presidential Campaign Advance School, SKA
media offers a half-day seminar on Media Event Design and Management for
campaigns in the United States and abroad. The class and slide show provides both inexperienced and experienced
campaign staff with knowledge of production and press terminology, and the fundamentals of designing and producing an
event that will play well to the print and television press.

Media Training in Emerging Media Cultures
SKA
media has developed a specialized media training course for campaign and events staff in developing countries and
locations with emerging media cultures. Countries with emerging media cultures are those that only recently established a free
and open press, or where cable television and the opening of new television stations has resulted in greater competition for
viewers’ attention, more complex press logistics needs, and a need to shape press opportunities to assure the candidate’s
message gets out. In countries with emerging media cultures, politicians and their campaign staffs are well served by learning
the most effective ways of customizing public events to play to the proliferating number of television and print press outlets.
